NDNU Receives $400,000 Grant from Fletcher Jones Foundation to Upgrade Classrooms and Laboratories

Notre Dame de Namur University has received a $400,000 grant from the Fletcher Jones Foundation of Los Angeles, CA in support of a $1.7 million project to renovate classrooms, science labs, and other facilities in St. Mary’s Hall.

Richard Giardina Named Interim Provost

Notre Dame de Namur University today announced the appointment of Richard Giardina, Ph.D. former Associate Vice President for Academic Planning and Assessment at San Francisco State University, as Interim Provost.

Argonaut Again Named Best Small College Newspaper in California

Three New Board Members Elected to NDNU Board of Trustees

Notre Dame de Namur University's Board of Trustees elected three longtime supporters of the University to the Board; Joe Putnam, Robert C. Webster, and Dr. Elaine Cohen.

Judith Maxwell Greig Named Acting NDNU President; Marc Desautels New Chair of Board of Trustees

The Notre Dame de Namur University Board of Trustees has appointed Executive Vice President and Provost Judith Maxwell Greig, Ph.D. as Interim President replacing Dr. John Oblak who resigned in December.The Board also announced the election of Marc Desautels as Chairman of the Board replacing Cressey Nakagawa who resigned earlier this month.

Five NDNU Students Nominated for Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships; NDNU Senior to Stage Original Work at Kennedy center Festival

Five theatre and dance students from Notre Dame de Namur University have been nominated to receive the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship which will be awarded at the 40th Annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), February 11-16 in Los Angeles. NDNU senior Kirk Pierron, was also invited to stage “My Ticket to Hell,” a modern version of “Faust” which Pierron wrote in 2003.

Argos Finish Third in PacWest Commissioner's Cup

The Notre Dame de Namur athletics program capped off another successful year in the Pacific West Conference with a third place finish in the inaugural Commissioner’s Cup.

Keyes, Riley, and Dreessen Named to All PacWest Women's Basketball Teams

The Notre Dame de Namur women’s basketball team capped off their 2007-08 season with three players earning All-Pacific West Conference honors. Tanaia Keyes became the first NDNU player to earn First Team All-PacWest honors while Corazon Riley and Jennifer Dreessen received Second Team recognition.

Chris Clock and Ryan Cooper Earn All PacWest Honors

For the second straight year, Notre Dame de Namur men’s basketball players Chris Clock and Ryan Cooper received All-Pacific West Conference honors. Clock was named to the First Team while Cooper earned Second Team recognition.

Lauren Quach Named to Womens Volleyball All PacWest Second Team

Libero Lauren Quach was named Second Team All-PacWest. Quach finished second in the conference with 512 digs, an average of 4.41 digs per game.

Freshman Goalkeeper Sheldon Steenhuis Leads NDNU Charge for Postseason Honors

Freshman Sheldon Steenhuis was named Pacific West Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and was one of seven NDNU men's soccer players to receive All-PacWest honors.

Four Argonauts earned All-PacWest accolades, led by senior Erin Morrison's First Team selection.

NDNU Men's Cross Country Team Takes Second in Pac West Championships.

The NDNU Men's Cross Country team came within two points of winning it all but had to settle for second place in the Pac West Championships. The women's team finished fourth.
