Education History

Carolee Stabno, Psy.D, is a Core Lecturer in the Art Therapy Psychology Department at Notre Dame de Namur University, and has taught in this program since the Fall of 1991. As a clinician in private practice, and a licensed marriage, family and child therapist, Dr. Stabno has had extensive experience in the treatment of mood disorders, depression, panic & anxiety disorders, trauma, addiction, and loss & grief. Blending conventional approaches, she draws on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. Additionally, Carolee has extensive knowledge within the county systems of foster care, adoptions, and domestic violence, and for over six years she developed and ran a special psycho-educational program for incarcerated males and females dealing with issues of substance abuse and domestic violence. Carolee serves as a subject matter expert for the licensing examinations for the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
