Doris Arrington, Ed.D, A.T.R.-BC is a clinical and consulting Psychologist and a Board Certified Art Therapist. Former President of the Northern California Art Therapy Association and founding Director of the Art Therapy Psychology Department at Notre Dame de Namur University, Dr. Arrington is internationally recognized as a teacher and consultant on trauma and health care. A Senior Specialist Fulbright Award recipient, she is the author of Home is Where the Art Is: An Art Therapy Approach to Family Therapyand Art, Angst and Trauma: Right Hemisphere Interventions of Developmental Issues. This past year she has presented on art, trauma, and healthcare in Kiev, Ukraine, Kunming, China, Addis Abba, Ethiopia, Pasadena, CA., Rancho Santa Marta, Mexico, Seoul, Korea, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. For eight years she served as a National Director for the American Art Therapy Association and received the Distinguished Service award at the completion of her service. She currently serves on the Editorial Board of The Arts in Psychotherapy and as Scholarship Chair for the American Art Therapy Association. Spring, 2008, Dr. Arrington will present for TIPS, in Taipei, Taiwan, Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas and Notre Dame de Namur University.
