NDNU Student Online Accounts Information
LOGIN AND E-MAIL:
Your Account. An official University login account will be created for every actively-enrolled student within three days of registration. The login account is both your e-mail and login to any of the computer Lab areas that NDNU offers its students. Furthermore, the account can also be used to login to the NDNU managed wireless network where it is available. To check for wireless availability click NDNU Wireless Network.
E-mail accounts are based on Microsoft Outlook on an Exchange server, and can be accessed using any supported web browser, from anywhere where internet access is available, by logging into the URL <studentmail.ndnu.edu>.
Username. Each student’s Username was created by taking the first initial of their first name and adding the entire last name. For example, the username for a student named "Mary Jones" would be “mjones.” In cases where the initials are the same, we utilize the middle initial and add it to the username (e.g. Margaret S. Jones would be "msjones").
Password. Student e-mail passwords are comprised of the first two letters of your last name followed by the last four digits of your ID number (e.g. Tom Jones, with the ID of 123456 would have the password of jo3456).
Duration of Account. This e-mail account will be active for the entire Fall semester and into the beginning of the Spring semester; accounts for actively-enrolled students for Spring semester will then be available throughout that semester, across the Summer term, and into the next beginning Fall semester.
If, during a student’s University career, he or she fails to be actively enrolled in at least one class, for either a Fall or Spring semester, their account will be disabled and not re-enabled until they become actively enrolled in another succeeding semester. Your account will not be affected by lack of enrollment in either an Intersession or Summer term.
NDNU offers online courses for registered students. NDNU employs WebCT, the most widely used online course delivery system. WebCT Campus Edition 4.1 is the latest version of WebCT CE. If you're enrolled in any NDNU online course, please read the Information and Instructions for Web-CT.
NDNU offers students the ability to check the current University class schedule, their own class schedule, final grades, and (for some students) advising, through the internet using Campus Web. Please note that your e-mail login is not the same as your Campus Web login. Please read the Instructions for Campus Web.
ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY:
Because these accounts are official University accounts, its use is regulated by provisions of the Acceptable Use Policy for Information Technology (Computer Usage Policy).
