What is Late Registration?

Late registration is any intial registration after classes start. Late registrations must comply with Add/Drop policies (e.g., instructors' signatures are required to enroll after classes start). A late registration fee applies after the semester starts (see below for details).

How is Late Registration different from adding courses?

You can only "add" courses when you are currently registered for courses. The Late Registration Fee does not apply to students who are adding courses. However, a Late Add Fee of $150 applies for each class added after the Add Deadline (also requires special permissions and documentation). Registration in workshops or courses that are scheduled to meet less than three times must be completed prior to the first class meeting.
