School of Business and Management

Advising Center (SBM)

The School of Business & Management's (SBM) Advising Center is the primary resource for help in answering student's questions about academic policies and procedures, clarifying degree requirements, helping to develop plans and strategies for completing those requirements, and offering information about various resources and opportunities that are available on campus (e.g., Tutorial Ctr, Career Services). While students are ultimately responsible for knowing their degree completion requirements; we recognize that the getting information and assistance on academic policy, curricular planning, and program requirements is best achieved with collaborative effort between the student and the Advising Center staff. As part of a larger team working with our faculty members, the Program Directors, and Dean we are committed to making your experience here successful and beneficial to your future.

Attendance Policy for Seven (7) Week Classes

The nature of accelerated classes requires a more stringent absence policy since even one absence may significantly impact achievement of course learning objectives. Therefore for all seven (7) week classes if a student misses more than one week's worth of in-class time (or its equivalent) will be assigned a failing grade for the course unless the student officially drops or withdraws from the course. It is the responsibility of the student to initiate the drop or withdrawal. See the Refund Policy for conditions under which some portion of the charges for the course may be reversed.
