Congratulations to Nicanor Ardila
Congratulations to Nicanor Ardila, MBA student, who earned a full scholarship to Middlebury College in Vermont. He will be earning his second Masters Degree in French and the program includes a year in Paris.
California College Media Association
For the second year in a row, The Argonaut at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont was selected as the best small college newspaper in the state by the California College Media Association. The CCMA awards were presented Saturday evening at the group's annual meeting which took place as part of the Associated Collegiate Press convention in San Francisco Feb. 28-March 2. The Argonaut took first place in the General Excellence category for newspapers published less often than weekly.
SBM In Candidacy for ACBSP Accreditation
The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) announced that Notre Dame De Namur University has been granted candidacy status for accreditation of their business school by the ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners. Notre Dame De Namur University will be presented with their candidacy certificate during the ACBSP Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA. on June 20, 2008.
Faculty Receives Grant
The School of Business and Management is pleased to announce that Dr. Sujata Verma has been selected as one of the faculty members who has been awarded a professional development mini-grant related to community based research and community engagement at NDNU for 2008-2009. Dr. Verma will have an opportunity to participate in a series of professional development activities and gain the skills and foundation needed to create an effective community based research course for NDNU Business students.
Omnicron Delta Kappa
Communications major Kaitlyn Wong was initiated into the National Leadership Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa on December 11, 2007. Kaitlyn was selected to join this society based upon her leadership involvement in Journalism. Congratulations Kaitlyn!
