Notre Dame de Namur University has long been known for the quality of our science majors and our graduate programs. Based on our traditional undergraduate preparation for health science graduate programs, the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program offers courses taught by experienced faculty, and prepares students for the MCAT, DAT, and GRE exams. Students wishing to enter medical, dental, veterinary, pharmacy, or physical therapy schools but who lack the necessary science and math requirements are served well by this program.
Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Curriculum
Each student will receive advisement on his/her individual curriculum and the proper preparation for their graduate programs of choice. The following courses are a sample of those offered for this program, but prerequisites (including successful math placement) must be completed before courses are taken. The Certificate is awarded at the end of this two-year program and the successful completion of 16 units with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Sample Courses include:
- General Biology
- General Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- College Physics
