Frequently Asked Questions
Graduate
How long will it take to complete my master’s degree?
That depends on whether you have any units to transfer, your field of study, and how many classes you take every semester. Most of our graduate students are working adults; many earn an MBA in 18 months; advanced psychology degrees generally require two to three years. An academic advisor will sit down with you and draw up a timetable based on your situation.
How long will it take for a graduate certificate?
Most require two semesters, but some take longer. Check our online catalog for individual certificate program information.
What courses will transfer?
Most of those from accredited colleges and universities which apply toward the advanced degree you seek. NDNU is generous in accepting transfer credits; check online to see our articulation agreements with other colleges and universities.
What do I need to get in?
It varies with the program, but the basic requirement is a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with at least a C+ cumulative GPA, and at least a C- in prerequisite/foundation courses. You also need two recommendations.
Will I be able to afford it?
The Office of Student Financing at NDNU will help you to make your education affordable. Besides graduate scholarships offered by the University, the staff can guide you through the process of applying for low-interest loans. We also have a plan that allows you to divide annual tuition into four installments. The cost of your education is an investment in your future.
How do I apply?
You may apply online or in person; just follow instructions for having transcripts and letters of recommendation sent to our Graduate Admissions Office.
