Financial Aid

Day Undergraduate Student Financial Aid

Applying for Financial Aid

  1. Visit the FAFSA website after January 1 to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If your family has not filed its federal income taxes for the previous year at the time you apply, use estimates for your family's tax information and enter NDNU's code—#001179—so that we receive your information quickly. You can update your application once your taxes are filed.

  2. If you are a California resident, complete the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form and FAFSA before March 2. This may make you eligible to receive up to $9,084 for 2013-2014 in Cal Grant for 2013-2014. Go to www.calgrants.org.

  3. Respond to all requests for documents from the NDNU Financial Aid Office as soon as possible. Once we receive your information from the FAFSA report, we will package additional funding sources based on your eligibility and mail you an award letter.

  4. Read about other factors affecting your award.

Grants, scholarships, work student and student loan opportunities are available to students of Notre Dame de Namur University who establish financial need by completing the financial aid process and meet all program eligibility criteria. Eligible applicants will be expected to adhere to standards of satisfactory academic progress and meet minimum GPA requirements for continued eligibility for financial aid.
