Freshman Admission

Each potential student is carefully evaluated on the basis of his or her academic and personal achievements. We are looking for those eager to fulfill their potential, regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, or financial need.

We strongly encourage interviews and campus visits; call the Office of Admission at (800) 263-0545 to make arrangements.

What you Need

  1. Apply Online.
  2. An official high school transcript showing, at minimum, completion of the
    following University preparatory courses:
    - English - four years
    - Mathematics - Algebra and Geometry
    - Foreign Language - two years of the same language
    - Laboratory Science - one year in grades 10-12
    - Social Science - two years in grades 10-12
    - University Preparatory Electives - a total of three full-year courses.

    This equates to one full-year course in three of the following areas:
    advanced mathematics, advanced foreign language, advanced
    laboratory science, computer science, advanced social science, or
    fine arts.
  3. SAT (with writing) or ACT (with writing) scores from the test agency, on the
    reference form or on the transcript.
  4. Letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor (see link below).
  5. An essay (instructions appear in the application).

Deadlines

NDNU is a rolling admission institution; however, please keep the following priority deadlines in mind:

Application Deadlines for Fall 2013:
December 1, Freshman Early Action and merit-based scholarships
February 1, Freshman Priority Deadline
After Feb 1, rolling admission. At this time we are still accepting applications and awarding financial aid for the Fall 2013 semester.

We prefer you submit your application via the Common App online system, however, if you would like to submit a paper application you can do so by printing, completing and mailing a hard copy of your materials.
