It is no exaggeration to say the San Francisco Bay Area is one of the most exciting places on Earth. In terms of art, culture, entertainment, sports, natural beauty, and man-made wonders, this part of the world is uniquely attractive.
To be a student at NDNU is to have a license to explore it in co-curricular activities and in your free time. By car or mass transit you are about a half hour from not only San Francisco, but also Palo Alto, San Jose, Berkeley, and no less than three international airports.

University life is interwoven with the innovation of Silicon Valley and the resources of the Bay Area.
San Francisco is famed for museums, restaurants, opera, art cinemas, and attractions including the Golden Gate Bridge and the historic Presidio. New developments beckon: the Bayside Embarcadero District is a massive urban design project that includes a downtown baseball stadium reachable by bus, streetcar, train, or boat. Chrissy Field across from the Presidio has been reborn as an urban bird sanctuary and wetland with miles of walkways, parks, and picnic areas. The Presidio itself has been turned into a giant park now being redeveloped in a novel public-private partnership.
As an NDNU student, you will have a few years to explore the area fully. And you will be joined by students from 40 states and 20 countries as eager as you are to see it all.
