International Undergraduate Admissions
What You Need
- Apply using the Undergraduate Online Application.
- An essay (instructions appear in the application).
- Submit transcripts from all secondary schools and/or colleges and universities attended. All transcripts from high schools and universities outside the United States must be evaluated by a professional credential evaluation service. We accept evaluations from members of NACES and recommend WES. Freshman applicants must submit an evaluation which includes certification of equivalency to a U.S. high school diploma and a conversion to a U.S. grade point average.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor.
- International students whose first language is not English are required to submit proof of English language proficiency. For the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam, the minimum requirements is a score of 500 (paper-based total), 173 (computer-based total) or 61 (internet-based total). For the international English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam, the minimum requirement is a score of 5.5 on the Academic test. Students submitting results from the TOEFL or IELTS are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores. If an international applicant’s high school coursework was taught in English, he or she may submit SAT or ACT scores in lieu of the TOEFL or IELTS
