Daniel Figueroa

	I'm a Bay Area native from San Jose, California. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Chico. During my time at Chico, I was a resident advisor for two years and discovered quickly my passion for working in higher education. After graduating from Chico State, I spent a few years living in Eugene, Oregon as an admissions counselor for a small university. Now, working at Notre Dame de Namur University, I have the opportunity to continue to help students in higher education. As a first generation college student, I personally understand how stressful applying to colleges can be for individuals. I was overwhelmed throughout my college search process with all the applications, filling out FAFSA, finishing up my senior year of high school and trying to decide where I wanted to attend school. I felt unprepared, but because of my past experience I have dedicated myself to being a resource for students. Here at NDNU it's my job to help students with their college search and guide them through the admissions process.
