Graduate and Evening Program Admissions Counselor
I was born and raised in Southern California but after moving to Davis for my undergraduate career, I knew I would never leave Northern California! I currently live in the Bay Area and adore the scenery and local community here. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC Davis and got to experience everything my two years there had to offer. I was the philanthropy chair in my sorority, interned at local child development centers and even got to study abroad in Florence, Italy for a summer. Unfortunately, I never felt like I was an integral piece of the UC community – I was very much a number and not a name.
When my youngest brother was accepted to NDNU, I agreed to be his “parent” at freshman orientation to make him feel more at home. It was there that I learned more about the hallmarks of NDNU and how much they truly care about their student’s overall happiness and success. I fell in love with the closeness of the community, the holistic admissions process and the small class sizes. The rest, as they say, is history!
When I’m not glued to my favorite video games, I enjoy taking our pug for walks on the beach in Pacifica. We lovingly named him Darth Morrisey – ‘Moz’ for short. I have an affinity for horror films and am actively enmeshed in the local music scene.
In my spare time, I enjoy knitting and crocheting amigurumi (Google it!).
Of all of these things, my very favorite is knowing that I’ve actively made a difference in a student’s life. Being able to guide my students to their ideal graduate degree and evening degree completion program gives me the utmost satisfaction.
