Transfer Admissions Counselor
At an early age, my parents instilled in me the value of education as the force for making change happen. Taking their wisdom to heart, I uprooted myself from my life in the Monterey Peninsula to attend school at UC Davis. While I was discovering myself and my interests in college, I served in many different roles that allowed me to be actively engaged with my peers and prospective students, from Orientation Leader, to Peer Adviser, to Student Ambassador.
While I was often reminded of careers in medicine and law, I was completely unaware that my degrees in Communication and Psychology could actually be used as career in student services. So basically, I got an education to help others get an education – so meta! After graduating college in 2015, I moved to the urban metropolis of San Francisco to live with my best friend and begin my career in higher education. I eventually found my way to Notre Dame de Namur University, a hidden gem nestled just south of the city. With so many local community colleges in the Bay Area, I was confident that my experiences working with students would lend itself greatly to assisting Transfer students get a quality private education dedicated to student achievement and success.
On the weekends, you can probably find me exploring the colorful neighborhoods of San Francisco, watching a movie at a local vintage theater, or pretentiously eating brunch at a hipster restaurant downtown. Get to know me more by visiting our campus and setting up an appointment to chat – I would love to learn more about your interests and how NDNU can make change happen for YOU!
