Graduate Marketing Recruitment Coordinator

Shannon Morton

Shannon Morton

I am the Marketing Recruitment Coordinator for Graduate Admissions here at NDNU. I am a San Francisco Bay Area native and I have been at NDNU for 5 years. Before working for NDNU, I was a graduate student here in the MPA program and prior to that I attended USF, where I received my BA in Psychology. Needless to say I have a strong love for what I do. Notre Dame de Namur University to me is more like a family, a community and less like an institution. I am always available to answer questions about Graduate Admissions and speak to you about the many graduate and credential programs we offer here. My days are prioritized by YOU - the student I am face to face with at that very moment. I will gladly hold your hand and walk you through the application process, answering all your questions, and helping you figure out if you would like to get your Credential or a Masters. Like you, I have been in that same position, trying to figure out what exactly is my next step in life’s journey. At some point I realized that I wanted to go back to school and get my masters degree. But like you I had many questions: “Should I get a masters (and in what) or a credential, how long will it take, can I really balance work, friends, family, social obligations with school?” The answer, which I am so pleased to report, is an astounding YES. I know because I did it and so can you. Just as much as I chose NDNU for one reason, in the end it chose me so I could help you. I find NDNU to be a very fulfilling environment socially, professionally and academically. Being able to work in such an environment that feels more like a community. Everybody has a feeling of belonging, and we are all here for the same reason. I am always here to help so please feel free to drop by, as my door is always open.
