Upcoming Events for 2013

NDNU is coming back to Los Angeles!

RSVP to Marianella Rosales-Orellana at 650-508-4161.

Theatre Performances

For over 25 years, NDNU and The Performing Arts Company have celebrated the spirit of giving learned by Ebenezer Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol: The Gift," the longest running musical adaptation of Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" in the Bay Area. NDNU Theatre will offer free performances of the musical from December 7–15 as a gift to the community.

This gift keeps on giving to those in need in the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or new toy to be distributed to organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank.

"The mission of the project is to provide professional caliber musical theatre performances to the community and to provide opportunities for contributions of new toys and non-perishable food items for the less fortunate of our community," said Michael Elkins, professor and chair, Department of Theatre and Dance. "The success of this production depends on the commitment and efforts of scores of volunteers."

  • Share the joy of the annual gift to the community at the December 6, 2013 Gala Benefit Performance. The evening includes a reception following the opening night performance. The Gala is a benefit to offset production cost, and is the only performance that is not free. Tickets are $50.
  • As our gift to the community all other performances are free:
    December 7 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
    December 8 at 2 p.m .
    December 12 at 7:30 p.m.
    December 13 at 7:30 p.m.
    December 14 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
    December 15 at 2 p.m.
