Carmel Alumni Retreat Weekend
Faith, Family, and Francis
The Notre Dame de Namur University Office of Alumni Relations invites you to attend the 16th Annual Carmel Alumni Retreat Weekend: Faith, Family, and Francis on January 29 – 31, 2016. This weekend retreat will reflect on the Synod on the Family that was held in Rome this past fall.
The event, which is being held at Villa Angelica, the private Carmel residence donated to the Sisters of Notre Dame, will be facilitated by Sr. Roseanne Murphy, SNDdN and Father Bill O’Connell.
This year’s theme is Faith, Family, and Francis. It is based on the teachings by Pope Francis illustrated by Argentinean author Jorge Mario Bergoglio “On Heaven and Earth: Pope Francis on Faith, Family, and the Church in the Twenty-First Century.”
“Together, we will discuss his thoughts on religion, reason, and the challenges faced by families,” said Sr. Roseanne Murphy. “The weekend will have a balance of sharing and time for reflection.”
The 16th Annual Carmel Alumni Retreat Weekend offers the opportunity for Notre Dame de Namur University alumni to gather with others who enjoy sharing their stories – what life has taught them – and hearing what others have found inspiring and encouraging along the way. The NDNU Carmel Retreat is also a great opportunity to reconnect, enjoy the beautiful Carmel setting and join in the company of old and new friends, learning and exploring along the way.
Space is limited. The cost of the retreat is $250 per person, which includes room, meals, and the NDNU seminar. Your reservation will be confirmed with payment in full. If a cancellation is necessary, a full refund will be given, if cancellations are made by January 12, 2016. Space is limited so please RSVP by Friday, January 15 online or by calling 888-511-NDNU.Register Online
