Continuing Education Details
The Art Therapy Psychology Department at Notre Dame de Namur University is pleased to provide thought-provoking, creative, and informative sessions to the professional and student art therapy community in Northern California.
These workshops are open to any mental health professional. Many topics are geared for art therapists but other therapists, counselors, social workers, and psychologists are welcome to attend and learn more about art therapy. However, attending an art therapy workshop does not equal training or certification for practicing art therapy. Non-art therapists are invited to educate themselves about an art therapy perspective and reminded to practice within their scope of competency.
There are no prerequisites for any of these courses and you do not need to be a student at NDNU to attend.
Most workshops are 3 hours. For workshops that are shorter or longer, please see those descriptions for details on CE credit and registration fees.
Registration fees for 3-hour workshops
$35 for workshop only
$70 for workshop and three (3) hours CE credit
Continuing Education credit
Three (3) hour courses meet the qualifications for three (3) hours of continuing education credit for those with the LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, and/or LEP, as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). For ATR-BC recertification, the ATCB accepts continuing education for all courses or events that fit in their Eligible Content Areas and that are presented or approved by the BBS. NDNU Art Therapy Psychology Department’s BBS Provider number is PCE 2433. Three (3) continuing education hours is equivalent to 0.3 IACET CEUs. An official transcript is available from the Registrar’s Office upon request.
By attending all course hours, you will receive all course materials and a Certificate declaring the hours earned. Continuing education courses are graded on a Pass/Fail basis, and may neither be applied to, nor substituted for, academic degree requirements. You must attend the entirety of the three-hour course to receive your hours.
To receive a full refund, cancellation must be in writing and received by email or fax (650-508-3789) by 3:00 pm the Friday before the weekend course. Participants will receive a full refund if the NDNU Art Therapy Psychology Department cancels a course.
All individuals with disabilities who need special accommodations or related assistance should contact the Art Therapy Psychology Department office at least one week prior to beginning the course.
