George Puou

Director of Golf

 

Puou begins his sixth year as the director of the men’s and women’s golf programs.  Coach Puou is an avid golfer and oversees the recruiting efforts, travel, equipment and practices for both the men and women.  Under Puou’s guidance, the men’s team the top 25 of the Golf World/NIKE Golf Coaches Poll in 2007 for the first time in the schools history.  The Argonaut men finished fourth at the Pacific West Championships last season and second in 2007.  The women’s team has won the CSU East Bay Lady Invitational in each of the last two years while the men won the Mauna Lani Intercollegiate in 2006.  Puou also serves as the NDNU head men’s basketball coach.
