Whether you're a new arrival to NDNU or returning, we'd like to extend a warm welcome to you. Our campus community is diverse in every way imaginable, and engaging with students with different gifts, backgrounds and sensibilities is one of the most exhilarating aspects of life at NDNU. Our diverse counseling staff are knowledgeable in a variety of areas, but we share one core passion: helping students to flourish while pursuing their personal and educational goals. We look forward to sharing our skills and expertise with you.
While the transition to, and life at NDNU can be an exciting challenge, we know that some of our students may be coping with personal, financial, health and other stressors. Counseling Services is here to support your growth and development, and to help you to restore balance, build strength, gain emotional resiliency and increase your personal well-being.

The primary focus of Counseling Services at NDNU is to promote and enhance the psychological health, personal growth, and success of students. Counseling provides an opportunity to discuss with a trained professional a problem or decision a student is facing. Through the counseling process it is possible to explore ways of becoming more effective in personal relationships, to increase self-understanding and acceptance, to gain support during emotional crises and clarify short- and long-range personal goals.
The Counseling Center is located in New Hall E18.

Monday thru Friday, 10 am - 4pm
There are drop-in times available as well as scheduled counseling sessions.

Counseling is available to all students and can be of help in dealing with personal problems:
Counseling is offered in an atmosphere of support and understanding. The counselors will listen, help clarify personal concerns, identify goals and strategies for changes and provide support throughout the process.
Counseling sessions are confidential to ensure that students feel free to talk about anything that is of concern. No information is released without the student's consent or request.
