Alternative Spring Break
The NDNU Immersion Group are student volunteers dedicated to being social justice change agents, they immerse themselves for three days in the soup kitchen helping to prepare, serve breakfast and lunch, and work in the woman's shelter for the homeless. Another social justice issue is the real-life experience of interacting with families from a local labor camp who pick the food served on your dinner table. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
