Mission
The Office of Student Development & Responsibility offers leadership, learning and personal development programs and services in the following areas:
- Student Conduct
- Conflict Transformation
- Sexual Assault Initiatives
- Alcohol Education
to enable students to grow and live with integrity.
Programs & Services
The Office of Student Development and Responsibility guides the creation of student-related policies, procedures, and initiatives within the Division of Campus Life and collaborates with other university offices on student-related initiatives. It sponsors a year-long alcohol education initiative, including a requirement for all first-year students to complete AlcoholEdu for College. The office manages the University student conduct system, its processes and the code of student conduct. It coordinates the Student Conduct Board, who hears cases of alleged policy violations of the student code of conduct. The Office maintains the Student Handbook and the Sexual Assault Response Network . The office also houses the Conflict Resolution Center,
The Office of Student Development and Responsibility maintains a strong interest in diversity and equitable outcomes for all students. Students are always welcome and encouraged to report any concerns to the Director. Confidentiality is available in most cases.
The office is directed by Mary Oleksy. The Director is available on an appointment-basis to meet with students, faculty, staff, parents, and/or community members to discuss and problem solve issues related to Campus Life.
