For Freshmen

Music and Performing Arts Floor: Students who are interested in drama, music, etc. may be interested in joining this community. As benefits of this community, students will have an increased programming budget for residents of this floor and will have at least one optional off-campus trip a month dedicated to a performance.

Health and Wellness Floor: Students will be given responsibility for assisting in the development of the brand new Housing Fitness Center located on Julie Billiart First Floor, including special reserved hours, creating guidelines and planning additional improvements. Students will be focused on healthy living and fitness and be located in close proximity to the Campus Nurse as an additional resource. This floor will likely have events and programming to raise enthusiasm and awareness health and wellness.
- Women’s Floor: Students who are passionate about women's studies and interests will be placed on an all-female floor. This floor may set certain rules and restrictions as a group on policies such as guests and visitation. The focus of this community will include women's empowerment and activism, and involve programming with various resources from both on and off campus.

Outdoor Recreation Floor: The Outdoor Recreation Floor will provide activities and programming dedicated to outdoor recreational events. Students will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive opportunities for students who wish to enjoy the outdoors as part of their college experience.

Honors Floor: The Honors Floor will be a section of New Hall dedicated to quiet and academic focused living. The area will be geographically separated to provide for a quiet environment conducive to achieving maximum academic performance. Students will be selected to the Honors Floor based on GPA and conduct records. The Honors Floor will have a reserved outdoor lounge area, including patio furniture, specifically for their use.
