Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies - Evening Program

The accelerated intensive Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies allows working adult students to advance in their current profession or prepares them specifically for careers in elementary education. The evening accelerated Liberal Studies Program is a comprehensive major that draws from many academic disciplines, providing students with a broad compass of knowledge and important writing, critical thinking and leadership skills. Those seeking teaching credentials will find that our program fulfills all the prerequisites for Notre Dame de Namur University’s Graduate Credential Program and covers material relevant to the CBEST and CSET exams.

The Intensive Liberal Studies Program draws working people from all sectors of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Most students in the program are seeking to become credentialed elementary teachers.  However, the program also attracts many students who simply want to finish their degree in a major wherein they can apply many of the units they have already achieved. Often, such students are currently employed and have advanced as far as they can without a bachelor’s degree, or they are ready for a new career.

See the NDNU General Catalog for program requirements and course descriptions.
