Douglas Rice Assumes Post of Interim Dean of School of Business and Management at Notre Dame de Namur University
Professor is expert in finance, budgets, and investments

Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) announced today that Professor Douglas Rice has been appointed to the post of interim dean of the School of Business and Management. Rice replaces Professor Craig Brewer, who served as dean for four years.
“Our School of Business and Management remains in highly capable hands with the appointment of Doug Rice as interim dean,” said NDNU President Judith Maxwell Greig.
Rice earned his Doctor of Business Administration from Golden Gate University with a concentration in finance. He has been a faculty member at NDNU for four years, and previously taught at Golden Gate University for over ten years. He has developed and taught many courses over that time, including classes on investments, corporate finance, and behavioral finance. Rice received a Best-in-Region Award for his presentation on preparing students for career success at the 2016 Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Regional Conference. He also founded Rice Financial Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes financial literacy.
