Free Tax Preparation Assistance at Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU)

NDNU accounting students volunteer to assist low-income filers
Belmont, Calif.—The School of Business & Management at Notre Dame de Namur University is providing a low-income tax preparation and e-filing service every Friday from February 2 to April 6, 2018 (except Friday, March 9, 2018). The hours when assistance is available are 1–4 p.m. in Saint Mary’s Hall, Room #117. No appointment is necessary. For the purposes of this service, low income is considered less than $54,000 annual income.
The service is provided by trained and IRS-certified volunteers who are accounting students at NDNU. Tax forms will be checked for accuracy by a senior level tax preparer before they are mailed or e-filed to the IRS. The service is offered at no cost. For more information, call (650) 508-3591.
Please bring with you the following documents:
- Photo ID for each person on your tax return
- Social Security card or ITIN for each person on your tax return
- W-2s from all jobs held in 2017
- All 1099s, 1098s and any other tax forms
- Last year’s tax return
- Childcare provider information
- Landlord’s name, address, and phone number for CA renter’s credit
- Your household’s health coverage information (Forms 1095-A, B, or C)
- Savings and checking account and routing numbers for direct deposit
