Fashion and Lifestyle Writer Speaks at NDNU
Carolyne Zinko gives students a fashion update
Belmont, CA, March 7, 2011 — Carolyne Zinko, a leading style, lifestyle and entertainment writer for the San Francisco Chronicle will discuss the business of fashion and the upcoming fall fashion season at Notre Dame de Namur University’s Distinguished Speakers Series on March 10. Zinko will be joined by Julia Panciroli, fashion designer, and Nancy Lueck, regional director of public relations, West Coast Bloomingdale’s.
This is the fourth event in the Distinguished Speakers Series, co-sponsored by NDNU’s School of Business, the Belmont Chamber of Commerce, and Cañada College Fashion Design and Merchandising Department. The event will be held from 6-7 p.m. in Ralston Hall Mansion, located on NDNU’s campus at 1500 Ralston Avenue in Belmont.
Zikno has worked for the San Francisco Chronicle for eighteen years, covering crime, city government, and political races, and more recently, society, fashion and lifestyle. She currently works in the paper’s features department, contributing to the Sunday Style section, the monthly luxury living section, "SF Is," as well as the Style section’s blog, “SFUnzipped.” She occasionally writes front-page profiles on Bay Area trendsetters as well. Zinko received her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and lives in Menlo Park with her fiancé, personal trainer Dan Dieguez.
