NDNU Professor James Fogal, Ph.D., Honored By Business Accreditation Association
Belmont, Calif., April 28, 2014 — Notre Dame de Namur University today announced that the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) honored NDNU professor James Fogal, Ph.D., with the 2014 Teaching Excellence Award for the Western Council for Business Schools and Programs.
Fogal will be recognized at the 2014 ACBSP Annual Conference in Chicago, June 27-30. In addition, he is now a candidate for the International Teaching Excellence Award, which will be announced at the conference.
“Dr. Fogal’s proactive approach to supporting students is critical to the success of the university’s mission to provide educational opportunities for underserved populations,” said Craig Brewer, Ed.D., dean of the School of Business and Management at NDNU. “As demonstrated by the student comments, Dr. Fogal’s teaching strategies meet the needs of a variety of diverse students. There is no doubt that he truly exemplifies excellence in teaching.”
NDNU has been a member of ACBSP, a leading accreditation association in business education, since 2013. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the School of Business and Management at NDNU meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP. The programs accredited are the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration and Master of Science in Systems Management.
