Former Georgetown University Dean Joins NDNU as Newest Director of Admissions

Belmont, CA, March 7, 2011 — Notre Dame de Namur University today announced the appointment of Jason Murray as the new Director of Admission.

Murray comes to NDNU from Georgetown University, where he was Associate Dean for the School of Nursing and Health Studies (NHS). Murray directed admissions, enrollment, student services, and other programs for undergraduate and graduate students. During his time in NHS, undergraduate applications doubled and graduate applications greatly increased. He also contributed to the early phases of the university’s John Carroll Scholars Program, an honors and scholarship program aimed at attracting a diverse range of top students to the school.

“We are thrilled to have Jason join us here at NDNU,” said Hernan Bucheli, vice president for enrollment management.  “The growth Georgetown experienced during his tenure is indicative of the great contributions he will make to our university.”
