John Oblak Resigns as President of Notre Dame de Namur University
Belmont, CA, December 13, 2007 — Notre Dame de Namur University announced that Dr. John B. Oblak has resigned as University president effective December 31, 2007.
“It is with great regret that the Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Dr. Oblak,” said Trustee Marc Desautels. “The board wishes to thank Dr. Oblak for his many years of service to the institution and its mission and for his many accomplishments over the past seven and a half years. However, we understand his desire to return to the east coast and wish him and his family well.”
Executive vice president and Provost Judith Maxwell Greig will assume the responsibilities and duties of president until further notice.
