NDNU Announces the Appointment of a New Vice President for Enrollment Management

Belmont, CA, November 6, 2007 — Notre Dame de Namur University today announced the appointment of Hernan Bucheli as Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Bucheli comes to NDNU with a wide range of enrollment services experience. He was most recently Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Student Affairs at Chapman University, with responsibility for enrollment at all 26 University College campuses. Prior to that, he was Director of Enrollment Management at Alliant International University. While at Chapman, he led the effort that earned a 2007 national award for marketing and recruitment excellence. Bucheli is also a highly regarded national speaker on student recruitment and retention.

He received a BA in International Relations from San Francisco State University and a MA in Communication from Barry University. He brings particular expertise and leadership in strategic enrollment planning, marketing analysis, new program implementation, and retention initiatives.

Bucheli looks forward to supporting the University’s enrollment departments. “As enrollment is primary to the University’s success, I plan on providing additional support and direction to the many improvements already underway in the undergraduate and graduate admissions, and financial aid offices.”
