Belmont, CA, March 22, 2010 — Notre Dame de Namur University is celebrating Women’s History Month with a panel discussion on women in the media – “What’s Next? Women and the Changing Media Landscape”. This event, which is free and open to the public, is on Wednesday, March 31 at 7 P.M. in Ralston Hall on the NDNU campus, 1500 Ralston Avenue, Belmont, CA.

The panel includes: Ysabel Duron, Weekend Anchor for the Morning News at KRON Television; Rosy Chu, host of “Bay Area People” and Community Relations Director for KTVU Television; Shana Daum, Senior Director of Public Affairs and Communications for the San Francisco Giants, and Renee Batti, News Editor for The Almanac, a local weekly newspaper.

The media environment is changing so quickly given the convergence of technologies it is impossible to predict what roles women may play in the future. This panel of outstanding women in Bay Area media will attempt to address this issue as well as how women’s roles in communication have changed in the past few years.
