NDNU Pocket Opera Partnership

The NDNU Opera Program partners with this professional company to produce an opera each year, with combined student apprentice and professional casts, performing in the Notre Dame Theatre in Belmont, the Florence Gould Theatre in San Francisco, and the recently restored Napa Opera House. Students are cast by audition, and work side by side with professional singers and orchestra, perfecting their acting and performing skills in this “chamber opera” format. Students with interest and skills in technical production assist and travel with the company to each of these venues as stage managers, technical staff, and costumers.
