Display
We are accepting all media and have access to pedestals for sculptures and other free-standing artwork. There is no limit on size, but keeping the work under 4 or 5-foot square is suggested. Please submit all artwork FRAMED AND/OR READY TO HANG OR DISPLAY. The framed work should already have a wire on the back, approximately 1/3 of the way down from the top of the frame. This wire should be straight and tight. Works on paper and photographs must be framed under plexiglass or glass.
Labels
Please complete the form provided at the end of this memo. Turn in the top half of the first page to the person accepting submissions at the gallery. Cut apart the rest of the labels and affix them to the back of the corresponding art piece before submitting.
Resume, Profile, and/or Artist Statement
We recommend that you include a resume, profile (short bio), or an artist statement with your work. We will have a binder that will include these at the show. This way, if anyone is interested in your work, they can read about you. This is optional, but always helpful!
Selling Art / Contract
You may opt to sell your artwork. GATSA will take a 20% commission to help cover the costs of the exhibition. If you would like to donate more of the sales to GATSA, you are welcome to do so. If you opt to sell your work, you will be required to sign a contract. You may print and sign the contract provided at the end of this memo, but copies will be available at the gallery on the submission dates.
Signing up for hours
Those submitting artwork are required to sit in the gallery and participate in gallery restoration. Plan to sign up for hours when you submit your artwork on July 6th or 7th. There will be sign up sheets for both at the gallery. Please bring a calendar or planner to keep track of your hours.
