Graduate Programs:

The 37-unit MS CP program prepares aspiring unlicensed master’s level mental health professionals for diverse roles in clinical, business, industry, and organizational settings.

 

The 67 unit, MS CP/MFT/LPCC program is a unique option for you to pursue clinical licenses as both a marriage and family therapist (MFT) and professional clinical counselor (LPCC), and offers a pathway for future doctoral studies.

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Degree Completion

Embark on an educational journey with Notre Dame de Namur University and realize your aspirations. The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Degree Completion Program offers a direct route for anyone with 45 – 78 credits from a college or university to complete their degree online.

Advancing Your Career in Clinical Psychology

NDNU’s Clinical Psychology Department (CPD) approaches the study of psychology with value on the development of the whole person throughout the lifespan. Attributes of the CPD:

  • Grounded in an integrative, depth-oriented psychological approach. 
  • Dedicated to training wellrounded mental health professionals and emphasizes clinical training, community engagement, and diversity in its academic, theoretical, and learning approaches.

A Warm Message from the Dean

Helen Marlo, Ph.D, Dean of the School of Psychology, has served in NDNU’s graduate Clinical Psychology Department since 1999. She has over 30 years of experience in higher education including serving as Professor and Department Chair. 
A licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 15318) and psychoanalyst member of the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco, she has maintained a private psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and consultation practice for over 25 years.

Admissions Requirements

  • NDNU Admissions Application
  • Resume or Vita
  • Official Transcripts from all universities attended, confirming a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the U.S. or equivalent academic preparation outside of the U.S.
  • Two references (include name and contact information)
  • Prerequisites: General Psychology & Abnormal Psychology (3 units each)
  • GPA of 3.0 and above is preferred, but 2.5-3.0 considered

State Authorization for Online Programs

The Department of Education requires that institutions offering online or distance learning programs outside of their home states must seek authorization to operate from regulatory bodies in those states. 

 

Each state has a different set of requirements when it comes to allowing out-of-state colleges and universities to offer online degree programs to its residents.
