Notre Dame de Namur Announces New $500K Gift from Sobrato Family

Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) announced today that John A. and Susan Sobrato will be donating an additional $500,000 toward the renovation of historic Ralston Hall and the founding of a Sobrato Family Learning Commons in the rebuilt structure. Former Notre Dame de Namur University President John B. (Jack) Oblak Passes Away

Belmont, Calif.—Former Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) President John B. (Jack) Oblak passed away on March 23 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pennsylvania, near his home. As NDNU’s president, Jack Oblak led the effort to rename the university (previously College of Notre Dame) and established a four-school structure for the academic programs. Read More.

Notre Dame de Namur University Offers New Online Master’s Program in ESL Teaching

Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) is launching a new program that allows students to earn an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) while studying online from anywhere in the world. Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) announced that its campus in Tracy, California, is accepting applications for new undergraduate and graduate programs. Prospective students can now apply to earn either a single subject or multiple subject teaching credential, or a bachelor of science in Human Services. Read More. 

Notre Dame de Namur University Receives Grant for Biology Teacher Preparation

Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) has received a grant of $183,536 from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for a new four-year program that will prepare high school and middle school teachers in the biological sciences. The program is now in the planning stages and will welcome its first cohort of students in fall 2018. Read More.
