Philanthropist Tad Taube Announces $6 Million Challenge Grant to Restore Notre Dame de Namur University’s Ralston Hall

NDNU’s largest gift ever received is first step in $20 million restoration of historical landmark

Belmont, Calif., November 24, 2014—Notre Dame de Namur University has received a $6 million challenge grant from Tad Taube, chairman of Taube Philanthropies, to begin the seismic retrofit and restoration of Ralston Hall mansion, a national historical landmark, on the NDNU campus, NDNU President Judith Maxwell Greig announced today. For 24th Year Notre Dame de Namur Students Share Thanksgiving Picnic with Homeless in Golden Gate Park

Belmont, Calif., November 20, 2014—For nearly a quarter of a century, Notre Dame de Namur students, faculty and staff have been inviting San Francisco’s homeless to share a Thanksgiving meal in Golden Gate Park. This year more than 300 of the city’s homeless residents are expected to once again share turkey sandwiches and conversation at NDNU’s 24th annual Thanksgiving in the Park event. Leading Afghan Advocate of Women’s Rights to Speak at Notre Dame de Namur

Belmont, Calif., October 17, 2014 — Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Sakena Yacoobi will address women’s education and empowerment in Afghanistan at Notre Dame de Namur University’s Catholic Scholar Speaker Series on October 22 at 7 p.m. in Cunningham Memorial Chapel on the NDNU campus. Read more

NDNU Named Among the Best Regional Universities by US News & World Report

Belmont, Calif., September 9, 2014 — Notre Dame de Namur University was again named to the US News & World Report list of the best regional universities in the west. The list published today by US News provided rankings for 84 of 150 regional universities. NDNU was ranked 51st. Read more
