Dr. Stephanie Demaree

Dr. Demaree has been a dedicated faculty member at NDNU since 2006. Before coming to NDNU, Dr. Demaree taught science to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the Diocese of San Jose for six years, underscoring her passion and commitment to inquiry-based science education. Prior to her current position, she was Program Director for the Liberal Studies Teacher Preparation Programs. She is also a Solar System Ambassador (SSA) Volunteer trained by experts at NASAs Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena since January of 2020. Her passion is utilizing and sharing free science resources, particularly those developed by NASA scientists and education specialists, with her teacher candidates and students in the K-12 community to inspire them as future scientists and science teachers.
