Julie Tucker

Julie Tucker, MA, is passionate about supporting new teachers in Special Education. She has an extensive background in mentoring new educational specialists, as she is a former special education teacher, induction supervisor, mentor coordinator, and district program specialist working throughout San Mateo County. Julie is devoted to supporting new teachers as they strive to implement equity with their students. Julie is experienced in all facets of special education, including mentoring new teachers regarding the legalities of the IEP process, collaborating with various related service providers, and developing a district-based mentor program for intern teachers. Julie is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children member and the National Association of Special Education Teachers member. Julie is the Educational Specialist Program Placement Coordinator with the School of Education at Notre Dame de Namur University.
