Michael John Renzi

Michael John Renzi, J.D., a seasoned finance and administration executive with over 35 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit, and corporate financial management. As CFO and VP for Finance and Administration at NDNU, he has successfully implemented strategic financial models, secured bridge financing, and led the university’s transition to a cloud-based data environment. His leadership spans key roles at San Jose State University, Stanford University, and multiple community colleges, overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets, accreditation processes, and large-scale construction projects. Renzi, a former U.S. Army Finance & Accounting Non-Commissioned Officer, applies disciplined fiscal oversight and strategic planning to ensure institutional sustainability. He holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Santa Clara University, with additional certifications in leadership, project management, and financial analysis.
