Faculty Learning Communities

CETL is partnering with faculty to host Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) on topics of high interest and relevance to teaching and learning. Learn more about our current and recent FLCs below.

Ally Ambassadors (Spring 2026)

This spring 2026 CETL is pleased to sponsor a new Faculty Learning Community (FLC) on using Ally to engage every learner.

Our Ally Ambassadors, selected by their respective Deans, will gain first access to the Online Learning Consortium training on accessibility and will be first adopters of the Ally tool in Canvas.

As a learning community our focus will be on learning, progress, and collaboration, not perfection, as we learn together and share insights about our efforts to engage every learner.

Teaching with AI Book Group (Fall 2025)

In Fall 2025, CETL sponsored a faculty book group on Generative AI and the ways it is transforming how we think, teach, and learn. 13 faculty participants received a copy of Bowen & Watson, Teaching with AI (2024), and participated in regular discussions to explore this timely topic, share perspectives, and engage in meaningful conversations with colleagues across the university.
