Leamor Kahanov, EdD, ATC/L

Leamor Kahanov, EdD, ATC/L is the 20th President of Notre Dame de Namur University. A nationally recognized higher education leader, she brings more than two decades of executive experience advancing academic innovation, strategic planning, enrollment growth, and student success.

Before joining NDNU, Dr. Kahanov served as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Alvernia University, where she led initiatives that expanded online and hybrid learning, developed workforce-aligned academic programs, and strengthened partnerships with corporate, government, and nonprofit organizations.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kahanov has championed accessible, career-focused education and has successfully launched new academic programs, implemented student success initiatives, and co-led institutional strategic planning efforts. She is passionate about preparing learners for the evolving workforce while fostering innovation, collaboration, and community engagement.

Dr. Kahanov earned her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences from the University of Arizona, and a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Athletic Training from Indiana University. She has also completed executive leadership programs at Harvard University and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.
