Welcome to the Facilities Department

Please do not attempt to fix a facilities maintenance issue or move furniture/ items. Please do not store any hazardous items (I.E., hot plates, chemicals, and candles). We must ensure that we all follow all OSHA regulations, ADA, and fire codes. If you move items around and we receive a fine during the annual fire inspection, the fine will be charged to your department.
Work Orders
If you have a maintenance, custodial, key request, room reservations or set up request, please submit a request by selecting the appropriate form.
Maintenance request
Use for any plumbing, electrical, building repairs, hanging pictures, or pest problems.
Custodial Request
Use for cleaning or moving furniture or boxes. Facilities will schedule a time and
date based on custodial availability unless it is a safety hazard that needs to be
addressed.
NDNU Custodians will empty trash from private offices on Fridays, please do not leave food waste in your office trash bins. Below is the custodial cleaning schedule. NDNU Custodians will not move papers or personal items from surfaces; if a surface is covered by papers or personal items, it will not be cleaned.
If you prefer to opt out of custodial service, please email jroth@ndnu.edu. Without notification, custodians will enter your office for cleaning. NDNU Custodians are only responsible for cleaning NDNU lease agreement spaces:
- St. Mary’s
- Campus Center (excluding the Café)
- Namur
- Madison offices
Key Request
Use the Key Request Form to order keys. Key requests take at least 1 week before they
are available for pickup. You will be notified when your key is ready to be picked
up from SM 205 unless other arrangements have been made.
Event Request
To reserve event space, or conference room please reserve on Facilitron. If it is
a request for a space that is not a part of the lease agreement or you are not set
up on Facilitron please submit an event request form. Once your request is approved,
please send the Event Layout to jroth@ndnu.edu.
Please submit a request and layout before the event no later than 2 weeks. If the request is sent later than 2 weeks, the request may not be completed, depending on Facilities schedule.
Process for non-emergency work orders
Submit Work Order
Director of Facilities is notified by CBRE. If emergency is discovered by NDNU, Director
of Facilities will notify CBRE.
Work Order gets submitted to CBRE
Director of Facilities will submit the work order to CBRE.
Updates
When the Director of Facilities is updated by CBRE, the Director of Facilities will
notify the requestor.
Process for Emergency Communication
Step #1
Director of Facilities is notified by CBRE. If emergency is discovered by NDNU, Director
of Facilities will notify CBRE.
Step #2
Director of Facilities will notify NDNU Communications.
Step #3
Communications will send notice out to NDNU community.
* If there is an immediate emergency, such as a fire or medical emergency, call 911 immediately
Process to contact CBRE when Facilities are not available/weekends
CBRE Business hours 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
