Randall Adam Sessler
Dean of Student Academic Success

Randie first developed a passion for empowering students when he worked as a peer-writing tutor during his undergraduate career as an English major at UC Irvine. This experience informed how he collaborated with others while pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Cambridge and how he designed courses and assignments as a Ph.D. student and adjunct English faculty member at New York University. Since completing his doctorate, Randie has held leadership positions at UC Berkley, Azusa Pacific University, and Wallace Community College. As NDNU’s Dean of Student Academic Success, he recognizes that the learning process is far from linear or universal. The Academic Success Center strives to develop innovative ways to meet students where they are on their educational and professional journeys. His department’s goal is always the same: empower students to achieve their goals.
