The steps between "I accept" and "I have a login." Most of this is HR's process, not yours — but knowing the sequence tells you what to chase and when.
- Accept your offer from your School Dean. This begins the hiring process. Your Dean also identifies your program and your Program Director — the person who will assign your courses and answer most day-to-day questions.
- Complete HR onboarding. Human Resources handles your paperwork, payroll setup, and benefits enrollment. Reach them at hr@ndnu.edu. HR is located in Toso Residence Namur.
- Read the Employee Handbook. Policies, benefits, and expectations that apply across the institution. Employee Handbook (PDF).
Your accounts start here. Your Dean or Program Director initiates account creation once hiring is complete, and OIT does the technical work. If you are days from your first class with no login, that is the thread to pull — start with your Program Director and copy helpdesk2@ndnu.edu.

Worth reading early
- Employee Handbook (PDF) — the institution-wide policies, benefits, and expectations.
- Employee Benefits — what you are eligible for and when enrollment windows open.
- Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement (PDF) — NDNU faculty are represented by SEIU. Worth knowing what your contract covers, particularly if you are adjunct.
- Institutional Code of Conduct
- ADP — where payroll and tax documents live once you are set up.
STAFF NOTE — remove before publishing. The Faculty CBA on the HR site is the 2021–2024 agreement plus a signed tentative extension (Aug 2024). Confirm with HR which document is current before pointing new faculty at it, or drop the link. Also confirm whether the Employee Handbook dated 2024-10-29 is still the live version.
Not sure who to ask? Your Instructional Designer can point you to the right office — that is part of what they are for, and they will be in touch in your first week. For HR questions specifically, hr@ndnu.edu is the fastest route.
