Welcome, new faculty!
We are glad you are joining us and contributing to our shared teaching mission at NDNU.
The Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL, pronounced SEE-tul) created this website resource as a quick start guide to help you get up and running as a new instructor at NDNU.
Overview of this guide
Accept your offer, complete HR onboarding, and find the Employee Handbook. 2. After Hiring
Access Campus Portal, your email (Microsoft Outlook), Canvas, Zoom, the academic calendar, your syllabus template, and the Instructional Designer assigned to your school. 3. What to Do If…
You cannot get into Zoom five minutes before class. A student is in crisis. Read this before you need it and refer to it in an emergency. 4. Ongoing Support
The offices you will rely on all term: the Academic Success Center, CETL, the Disability Resource Center, HR, OIT, and the Registrar.
Looking ahead
We hope this website gets you up and running in the technical side of onboarding. After you've completed this technical onboarding, you will be invited to continue onboarding by completing our new Canvas course on "Teaching with Purpose at NDNU."
