From job offer to hired
Below is a general overview of the steps between accepting your new position and being hired and able to access your accounts.
- Accept your job offer from your School Dean. This begins the hiring process. Your Dean also identifies your program and puts you in contact with your Program Director, the person who will assign your courses and answer most day-to-day questions.
- Complete HR onboarding. Human Resources handles your paperwork, payroll setup, and benefits enrollment. Direct hiring questions to hr@ndnu.edu.
- Review the HR resources below. Become familiar with the Employee Handbook, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, policies, benefits, and expectations that apply across the institution.
- Receive your NDNU login. The hiring stage is completed when you receive your NDNU login credentials from HR and additional login information from OIT.
Resources to review in hiring phase
- Employee Handbook (PDF) — review the handbook for institution-wide policies, benefits, and expectations.
- Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement (PDF) — NDNU faculty are represented by SEIU and you can review contract information in this document.
- Employee Resources - become familiar with the forms and procedure documents.
- Employee Benefits — what you are eligible for and when enrollment windows open.
- ADP — where payroll and tax documents live once you are set up.
